Status Certificates: Receive Status Certificate Requests from Prospective Buyers

Welcome to another 1VALET feature update. This week, we’re introducing Status Certificates on the 1CONNECT portal for HOAs and condo buildings, as well as improvements to Building Alerts for all your connected smart apartment and building security services.

Status Certificates

You can now receive status certificate requests from homeowners associations (HOAs) and prospective condo buyers. You can find the new Status Certificates tab under Building Management in your 1CONNECT property management software portal

To start receiving status certificate requests, you must first configure Stripe Payments. After that you need to modify Status Certificate settings to follow your local laws and regulations.

You can set the status certificate price, and the number of days before you have to fulfill these requests. You can also add common documents here. These documents will be attached to all Status Certificate requests.

After configuring your status certificate settings, you will get access to a unique link for each building. That link can be posted on your building website, or shared with prospective buyers in any other way. By using the link the prospective buyers will be able to submit status certificate requests for the suites.

New requests will appear in a list view on the Status Certificates page. Note that these only appear after a payment is made by the requestor. These requests can be fulfilled by attaching additional documents to them. The documents then get sent to the requestor by email.

Building Alerts

You may have noticed new alerts appearing in the banner at the top of the 1CONNECT Portal. These alerts are designed to keep you informed about the health of connected services and any unusual activity within the building.

Alerts regarding connected services, such as issues with Salto or Yardi, are automatically cleared once the problem is resolved. Some others, such as intrusion alerts, require investigation of the specific door reporting the intrusion and manual resolution by the building staff.
